Common malfunction and analysis of solenoid valve

Solenoid valves are widely used in food, medicine and electronics, etc.. The selection of solenoid valves should follow the four principles---safety, reliability, applicability and economy in sequence. Secondly, the selection is based on the six aspects of the on-site working conditions (pipeline parameters, fluid parameters, pressure parameters, electrical parameters, action methods, special requirements). The solenoid valve has the following characteristics:

External leakage can be blocked while internal side is easy to control so it's safe to use.Internal and external leakage is an element that endangers safety. Other automatic control valves usually extend the valve stem and the rotation or movement of the valve core is controlled by electric, pneumatic, hydraulic or other actuators. This should solve the problem of long-term action valve stem dynamic seal leakage.

The torque control of the electric valve is not easy, and it is easy to cause internal leakage, and even pull off the valve stem head. The structure of the solenoid valve is easy to control internal leakage until it drops to zero. Therefore, the solenoid valve is particularly safe to use, especially suitable for corrosive, toxic or high and low temperature media.

The solenoid valve itself is simple in structure and low in price. It is easier to install and maintain than other types of actuators such as control valves. The self-control system composed of it is much simpler and the price is much lower. Since the solenoid valve is controlled by a switch signal, it is very convenient to connect with an industrial computer.

1. Air leakage will cause insufficient air pressure which makes it difficult to open and close the valve. The reason is that the sealing gasket is damaged or the slide valve is worn which causes blow-by in several cavities.

2. The solenoid valve terminal is loose or the thread terminal falls off, causing the solenoid valve to have no electricity. Try to tighten the thread terminal.

3. If the solenoid valve coil is burnt out, the wiring of the solenoid valve can be removed and measured with a multimeter. If it is open, the solenoid valve coil will be burnt out. The reason is that the coil is damp, causing poor insulation and magnetic leakage. It causes excessive current in the coil and being burnt. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent rainwater from entering the solenoid valve. In addition, too hard spring, too large reaction force, too few number of turns of the coil, or not enough suction force can cause the coil to be burnt out. For emergency treatment, you can turn the manual button on the coil from the "0" position to the "1" position during normal operation to open the valve.

4. The matching gap between the slide valve sleeve and the valve core is very small (less than 0.008mm). When mechanical impurities are brought in or there is too little lubricating oil, it is easy to be stuck in.The treatment method is to use a steel wire to poke into the head hole to make it rebound. Or we can remove the solenoid valve, take out the valve core and its sleeve, and clean with CCI4 solvent to make the valve core move flexibly in the valve sleeve.When disassembling, pay attention to the assembly sequence of the components and the position of the external wiring for reassembly and wiring. Also, check whether the oil spray hole of the lubricator is blocked and whether the lubricating oil is sufficient.
